Vertical panel saws

Vertical panel saws, also known as wall saws, are designed for cutting panels. They have the following advantages over horizontal panel saws:

  • Space saving: a vertical panel saw has a smaller footprint than a horizontal panel saw.
  • Ergonomics: large panels can be easily loaded and cut by one person.
  • Safety: The saw blade is always covered, making it a good choice for less experienced users.

They are available in different sizes and with or without a scorer. They are suitable for cutting virtually all panel materials, such as wood-based panels, plasterboard, plastic, Alucobond or aluminum panels. Sawing solid wood or extra thick sheet material is a lot more difficult or impossible on a vertical panel saw. If this is also part of your use, it is advisable to opt for a horizontal panel saw.
