Description

Specially developed machine for mortising holes for mortise locks on doors or other pieces of wood. The machine is perfectly suited for use in the workshop as well as outside of the shop. This milling machine is easy to place on doors or other workpieces thanks to a special fastening system. The vice for this attachment has a maximum width of 200mm or 250mm. Both models are available. The clamp is provided with a protection so that the door will not be damaged during installation. Thanks to the suspension system, the mortiser can also be used on doors that have already been installed. With the help of a built-in adjustment system, it is always possible to perfectly centre the machine, even on doors with rebates or profiled doors. The maximum lateral displacement for this is 15mm. Thanks to the dimensions within which work can be done, it is possible to make holes for almost all locks. Using the stop, you can set a fixed height to quickly do the same work on several doors. Standard supplied with this machine is a router bit with a diameter of 16mm. Larger diameters are available for mortise locks with larger thicknesses. After making the mortise for the mortise lock, this machine can also be used to mill the face plate, provided a drill bit with a larger diameter is used. Simply set the depth for the drill bit according to the thickness of the face plate. For more accurate results, it is recommended to carry out these milling operations using a specialised machine such as the Virutex FR129VB. Included with this machine is the UT16I accessory from Virutex. Using this drilling template, you can drill the cylinder holes or crank holes with great precision. Please note: drill or drill bits for these holes are not included.
